APW - E Howard & Co, Boston, series V with rare fancy dial, hound grade, L-S (just over 15S), heavy warranted 14K EH&Co original HC with gold cuvette over glazed observation cover, the cuvette engraved later to conceal prior engraving, SW-SS, very fancy O'Hara style WE-SSD, lever escapement, 15J, GJS, parallel double-arcaded pattern NI damascene, s#63188. Gross weight of assembled watch 71.1 dwt (110.5 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: GRO, fine mvt condition overall, much cloudiness and many MFS; dial has glaze line from seconds through 3, another from seconds through center and continuing to 12, scoring in seconds; hands near mint; case shows very light wear, some MFS, a few very light dents or dings front and back, visible from interior, fairly complete detail with reduction at the shoulders and less so overall; bow tight, unworn, crown shows very light wear and incipient break; clean plastic crystals.
